Cristiano Ronaldo, widely regarded as one of the greatest footballers in history, has hinted that his retirement may be near. The 39-year-old Portuguese superstar, who has scored an incredible 904 career goals, made the revelation after netting in Al-Nassr's 2-1 victory over Al-Rayyan in the AFC Champions League.
Ronaldo, who has played for prestigious clubs such as Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus, and has five Ballon d'Or titles to his name, now plays for Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr. Since joining the team, he has contributed 64 goals and 17 assists in just 71 appearances.
Following Monday night's match, Ronaldo acknowledged that his time on the pitch is limited. "I'm just enjoying playing football now as I know I don't have much time left," he said. "It is not important to me now to be the best player or win awards. What is important is to enjoy and help my team."
In a heartfelt moment after scoring, Ronaldo pointed to the sky, dedicating his goal to his late father, José Dinis Aveiro, who passed away in 2005. The tribute came on what would have been his father's 71st birthday. Despite his age, Ronaldo continues to perform at an elite level, having won 33 trophies throughout his illustrious career.
