Kylie Jenner Reflects on Friendship with Jordyn Woods After Cheating Scandal

Beauty mogul and reality TV star Kylie Jenner has opened up about her relationship with former best friend Jordyn Woods, and how the cheating scandal involving Jordyn and Khloé Kardashian's ex-partner, Tristan Thompson, affected their bond.

Kylie and Jordyn first met as teenagers through their mutual friend, Jaden Smith, and quickly became inseparable. Their friendship deepened to the point where Jordyn was named the godmother of Kylie’s daughter, Stormi, and even moved in with Kylie in 2018 to help her adjust to motherhood.

However, in February 2019, their friendship was rocked by rumors that Jordyn had been involved in a cheating incident with Tristan Thompson, Khloé Kardashian’s then-boyfriend. While Tristan had a history of infidelity, this particular incident hit harder because it involved Jordyn, a close family friend. Jordyn later addressed the situation on Red Table Talk, explaining that while she understood the pain caused by the scandal, she was not the reason for Khloé and Tristan's split. "I’m no home-wrecker. I would never try to hurt someone’s home, especially someone that I love," Jordyn shared.

Following the scandal, many members of the Kardashian-Jenner family publicly voiced their opinions, but Kylie remained quiet for a long time. She was the last of her sisters to unfollow Jordyn on social media, and in 2021, she confirmed that their friendship ended "overnight."

For years, the two were not seen together, but things seemed to change when they were spotted dining together in Los Angeles in July and later shopping during Paris Fashion Week.

In a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Kylie opened up about the emotional toll of the situation. "I was heartbroken," she admitted. "We’ve always tried to talk through things, so it’s never been a full cold-turkey cutoff; it was needed distance." Kylie went on to explain how the separation made her feel lonely but also helped her grow. "To lose that person felt really lonely, but I had to go through that. I learned so much, gained so much independence."

She also reflected on how the distance benefited both of them, saying, "I think that in order for us both to grow, she needed to spread her wings and do what she needed to do as well."

Kylie’s candid remarks suggest that, while the fallout from the scandal was painful, it ultimately allowed both women to grow individually, and now, they seem to be on the path to rekindling their once-close friendship.
