Chicago rapper Lil Durk, whose real name is Durk Banks, has been arrested in South Florida and charged with murder-for-hire. He is currently being held without bond at Broward County Jail.
The arrest is part of a larger federal investigation that links Durk to a conspiracy involving a murder-for-hire scheme. Police records indicate that he is awaiting transfer to U.S. Marshals, which suggests that federal authorities are taking over the case.
This arrest follows an investigation into the murder of Saviay’a Robinson, also known as Lul Pab, who was killed in Los Angeles in 2022. Robinson was a cousin of rapper Quando Rondo, and authorities allege that a network associated with Durk's OTF collective is connected to this violent incident.
An indictment filed in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles includes charges against five other individuals from Chicago—Kavon London Grant, Deandre Dontrell Wilson, Keith Jones, David Brian Lindsey, and Asa Houston—who are alleged to have ties to OTF and have been arrested alongside Durk. These men face charges including conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire, murder-for-hire resulting in death, and the use of a machine gun in a violent crime that led to death.
Prosecutors claim that the group was supported by resources provided by Lil Durk’s collective, with evidence including flight and rental car reservations reportedly paid for using a credit card linked to the OTF label. The prosecution also alleges that OTF was offering “lucrative music opportunities” to those willing to eliminate Quando Rondo.
