Metro Boomin Sued for Alleged Sexual Assault by Vanessa LeMaistre

Grammy-winning music producer Metro Boomin, whose real name is Leland Wayne, is facing legal action from Vanessa LeMaistre, who claims he sexually assaulted her in 2016. LeMaistre filed the lawsuit, which was obtained by TMZ Hip Hop, alleging that a friendship developed between her and Metro during a trip to Las Vegas earlier that year. She asserts that while she was grieving the loss of her 9-month-old son, Metro invited her to his Los Angeles studio, where she claims to have witnessed him misusing codeine.

According to LeMaistre, in September 2016, she returned to Metro’s studio, where she consumed half a Xanax pill and a shot of alcohol to help cope with her grief. She alleges that she soon blacked out and later woke up to find Metro allegedly assaulting her. She claims to have regained consciousness in a Beverly Hills hotel room with no recollection of how she got there.

In her lawsuit, LeMaistre also asserts that she discovered she was pregnant soon after the incident, a situation she believes could only have arisen from her encounter with Metro. She terminated the pregnancy in November 2016.

LeMaistre points to lyrics from Metro's 2017 song “Rap Saved Me,” featuring 21 Savage, Offset, and Quavo, which she claims reference her trauma, particularly the line: “She took a Xanny / Then she fainted.” In her lawsuit, she is seeking unspecified damages for emotional and mental distress, as well as punitive damages.

In response to the allegations, Metro’s attorney, Lawrence Hinkle II, characterized the lawsuit as a “pure shakedown,” asserting that the accusations are false. He noted that Mr. Wayne refused to pay LeMaistre months ago and continues to deny any wrongdoing. Hinkle stated that Metro Boomin intends to defend himself in court and plans to file a claim for malicious prosecution once he prevails. As of now, Metro Boomin has not issued a personal statement regarding the situation.
