A man was shot by police following a violent incident at the Brian Bemis Toyota dealership on Sycamore Road in DeKalb County, Illinois, where he allegedly stabbed multiple individuals.
According to City Manager Bill Nicklas, the assailant attacked several employees inside the dealership. When DeKalb County police arrived on the scene, they repeatedly instructed the man to drop the knife. However, he refused to comply, prompting officers to open fire.
Nicklas reported that while several staff members sustained stab wounds, fortunately, none of the injuries were life-threatening. He emphasized the seriousness of the situation, stating, "Police responded to a call where a person was wielding a knife and stabbing employees."
The incident is currently under investigation as authorities assess the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
