During a recent visit to Michigan, U.S. presidential candidate Kamala Harris was filmed enjoying a casual evening at a bar, where she shared laughs and drinks with Governor Gretchen Whitmer. The moment unfolded after a rally in the key swing state on Saturday night.
While engaging in conversation, Harris seemed to forget that the media was present. At one point, she humorously remarked, “Oh, we have microphones in here, they’re listening to everything,” after noticing the surrounding cameras.
In a light-hearted moment, she continued, “I didn’t notice that. We just told all the family secrets, s***,” eliciting laughter from those nearby. Harris then raised her glass in celebration, acknowledging everyone at the bar located in Kalamazoo. In a playful twist, Governor Whitmer joked that the city would be renamed “Kamalazoo” in honor of the vice president.
The incident highlights Harris's approachable demeanor as she connects with voters and engages in informal settings, a strategy often utilized by candidates during campaign seasons.
