VIDEO: LASTMA Launches Investigation into Viral Video of Content Creators Filming in Traffic

The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has initiated an investigation following the circulation of a viral video showing two young content creators filming themselves while in traffic on Victoria Island's Ozumba Mbadiwe Road.

In the video, the individuals are seen stepping out of their grey Camry (license plate AAA 62 EL) to record content, causing concern about traffic safety and disruptions.

In a statement shared on its social media handle, LASTMA acknowledged the incident and assured the public that an investigation is underway. The agency emphasized that appropriate actions will be taken in line with the Lagos State Transport Sector Reform Law of 2018, using the vehicle's registration details to identify those involved.

LASTMA also reminded the public that such unauthorized activities in traffic pose risks and violate road safety regulations.
