The controversy follows Speed Darlington’s recent online comments, where he made insinuations about Burna Boy’s sexuality. These remarks came after the arrest of Sean "Diddy" Combs, with Speed suggesting that Burna Boy's rise in the American music scene and his Grammy nominations were linked to his association with Diddy. He also mockingly questioned how many of the baby oils found in Diddy's home were used on Burna.

While the reason for Speed Darlington’s apparent arrest remains unclear, some speculate it might be connected to his comments about Burna Boy.
