Activist and lawyer Deji Adeyanju has confirmed the arrest of popular singer Speed Darlington. In a post shared on his X (formerly Twitter) account, Adeyanju revealed that efforts are currently underway to secure Darlington's release.
Adeyanju emphasized that no individual should be detained for expressing their opinions, adding that it is still unclear who orchestrated the singer’s arrest. In his statement, Adeyanju commented, "You can't be singing against oppressors and still be an oppressor," hinting at the importance of protecting free speech in all situations.
