A former friend of Robert Mugabe Jr., son of the late Zimbabwean president, has come forward to explain why he decided to leak explicit footage of the younger Mugabe engaging in intimate activities with two women, sparking widespread attention on social media. The video, which depicts Robert Mugabe Jr. in bed with a woman, has triggered significant public outcry, but the motive behind its release has now been clarified by the individual responsible.
In a charged social media post, the former friend stated that his actions were driven by personal grievances, including a history of alleged mistreatment by Robert Jr. “I went to jail because of you!!! And now you’re attacking my family???” the friend wrote, shedding light on the bitter conflict between the two.
The man also claimed to be the source of another video showing Robert Mugabe Jr. assaulting a mutual friend, Nyasha Rusinga. In one of the disturbing clips, Robert Jr. is seen physically attacking Nyasha, while another shows him tampering with the victim's IV drip during a hospital visit.
The leaks also included a chilling account of a violent episode in which Robert Mugabe Jr. allegedly attacked a friend with an empty beer bottle. The victim recalled the incident in a detailed and disturbing statement: “I tried to hold him as he hit me with the bottle on my shoulders and legs. The bottle hit so hard that my skin split open, and I had to be stitched at United Bulawayo Hospitals.”
This violent behavior was reportedly the catalyst for the former friend's decision to leak the footage, which he claims was prompted by Robert Jr.'s alleged threats to his family. "You even abuse your own friends, and now you're coming for my wife and kids??? Come on! How ruthless," the friend expressed in his post.
