Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Face or 2Baba, has deleted all posts and videos related to the speculation surrounding his alleged divorce from his wife, Annie Idibia.
He took down the last video he had posted to address the rumors just a few hours after sharing it on Instagram.
The controversy began on Sunday, January 26, 2025, when 2Baba announced his separation from Annie, his wife of 12 years, in a now-deleted Instagram post. The post read:
"Hello, my beautiful people from all federations. What I have to say is brief yet significant.
"Annie Macaulay and I have been separated for some time now and have officially filed for divorce.
"I will soon release a statement to share my side of the story. Not because anyone is entitled to know about my personal life, but because I love my people, and they deserve to know my innocence or wrongdoing.
"Stay blessed, my people. I love you all."
Shortly after, another post surfaced, claiming that his Instagram account had been hacked.
"My Instagram account has been hacked. Efforts are underway to regain control. #onelove!" the post read.
However, moments later, 2Baba posted a video contradicting the hacking claim. Speaking in Pidgin, he said, "Hello, my people. Nobody hacked my account. Na me talk weytin I wan yan." (Translation: "I made that statement myself.")
In a surprising turn of events on Monday morning, it was discovered that the singer had removed all posts related to the divorce, including the video he had shared.
