Evangelist Ebuka Obi of the Zion Prayer Movement Outreach has accused Omowole Sowore of cyberbullying.

In a statement issued on Monday through his Media Adviser, Dan Aibangbe, Obi called for the police to question the rights activist. He expressed serious concerns about a publication that allegedly connected him to the recent dismissal of three police officers by the Police Service Commission, which he described as "unfortunate, malicious, scandalous, and misleading."

Obi stated that the publication was a deliberate attempt to mislead the public and launch a smear campaign against him, a figure he described as revered and non-controversial.

The statement also referenced explanations provided earlier by Police Spokesperson, Assistant Commissioner of Police Muyiwa Ogunjobi, who clarified that the officers had been dismissed due to gross misconduct, including illegal duty and theft.

Aibangbe further explained that one of the officers, Peter Ejike, had been assigned to investigate a case of threat to life and cyberbullying against Ijele Speaks. He asserted that the facts surrounding the case were deliberately misrepresented to tarnish Evangelist Obi's reputation.

Aibangbe labeled Sowore’s actions as cyberbullying and criminal libel, urging the police to question him over the "grossly misleading, injurious, and defamatory" nature of the publication.

It is worth noting that Sowore, on Monday, reported to the police in connection with a separate alleged defamation case and also publicly stated that he had rejected the bail conditions set by the police.
