Conor McGregor is back making headlines — but this time it’s not just about fighting, it’s about fighting at the White House.
The Irish superstar, who has spent five years talking about a return after breaking his leg against Dustin Poirier in 2021, says he’ll headline UFC’s America 250 event in Washington, D.C. next year.
“The Champ Champ returns!” McGregor wrote on X, posting training footage and promising a masterpiece performance. He claims he’s hitting harder than ever: “My shots whistle through the air like rockets!”
Then came the jaw-dropping demand: McGregor says he’ll earn $100 million for the fight, plus receive 100 U.S. ‘Golden Visas’ for himself, friends, and family.
While McGregor’s boxing payday against Floyd Mayweather and his fight with Khabib generated hundreds of millions, UFC has never paid anywhere near $100M to a single fighter. Even Jon Jones’ record-breaking Saudi-assisted purse was “only” $30M.
So is it hype or history in the making? After years of McGregor hinting at comebacks that never materialize, fans are divided. Is this the long-awaited return — or just more McGregor mystique?
