76-Year-Old U.S. Citizen Pinned by Border Patrol in Chicago

Shocking footage shared on social media shows Border Patrol agents pinning a 76-year-old man to the ground in Chicago, reportedly breaking six of his ribs and causing internal bleeding. The DWRunning Club, of which the man is a member, posted the video, claiming the incident occurred as he was driving home from a group jog during a children’s Halloween parade in the Old Irving Park neighborhood.

According to the club, federal agents blocked the road, threatened to break his car window, and then pulled him from his vehicle, kneeling on his back despite the man not resisting. Onlookers can be heard pleading with officers to ease up due to his age.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) responded, asserting that the man was in the area during an operation to arrest a criminal illegal alien from Mexico, and that federal agents were allegedly surrounded and threatened by a crowd. DHS claimed that two U.S. citizens were arrested for allegedly assaulting and impeding a federal officer.

This incident is part of a series of confrontations in Chicago following President Trump’s deployment of federal forces to the city. Previous videos have shown Border Patrol and ICE agents using aggressive tactics against residents, including the detention of a local news producer on October 10 and a traffic-related shooting on October 4. Eyewitnesses have disputed some of DHS’s accounts, describing federal actions as unprovoked and violent.

The event has raised widespread concern over federal law enforcement tactics and the safety of civilians in neighborhoods with heightened federal presence.
