Big U’s Son Fatally Shot on Halloween Amid Rap Executive’s Legal Troubles

Jabari “Baby Uiie” Henley, the 34-year-old son of popular rap executive and alleged Rolling 60s Crip leader Big U, was shot and killed on Halloween night in Los Angeles, Fox 11 reports. According to witnesses, Henley approached a vehicle when someone inside opened fire. He was declared dead at the scene. The motive for the shooting remains unknown.

Music mogul Luce Cannon, currently incarcerated alongside Big U at the Metropolitan Detention Center, described the younger Henley’s death as devastating. Cannon suggested that Henley may have known the shooter personally.

Big U, best known for managing the late Nipsey Hussle, has faced legal troubles throughout 2025. Earlier this year, he turned himself in following a sweeping RICO indictment that accused him of leading a criminal enterprise involved in murder, kidnapping, extortion, fraud, and robbery. In a video prior to surrendering, Big U explained:

"So, this is probably going to be my last video. I'm going to turn myself in and see what's going on. They're calling me a fugitive. They just raided all my houses. 600 was actually with the police when they raided my house. He even has video footage of it. So y'all know what you're dealing with."

Prosecutors allege that Big U enforced a system requiring athletes and celebrities to “check in,” effectively paying a fee for freedom of movement in Los Angeles. He is also accused of defrauding companies, donors, and high-profile figures including Shaquille O’Neal and Draymond Green.

Big U’s trial is scheduled to begin on May 4, 2026. If convicted, he faces up to life in prison. The tragic death of his son adds a personal dimension to an already high-profile legal battle, highlighting the ongoing violence and turmoil surrounding the world of gang-affiliated rap executives.
