Jim Carrey Sparks Plastic Surgery Rumors at Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Event

Jim Carrey, 63, raised eyebrows on the red carpet at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Saturday, November 8, with a look that left fans questioning whether the actor had undergone cosmetic procedures.

Carrey reunited with his How the Grinch Stole Christmas co-star Taylor Momsen for the first time in 25 years. The duo appeared in high spirits, with Momsen wrapping her arm around Carrey’s shoulder. Carrey wore a long black-and-white pinstripe coat over a graphic T-shirt featuring a mysterious hallway, while Momsen donned her signature black eyeshadow, leather jacket, and fishnet tights.

Fans React to Carrey’s Appearance

While many celebrated the reunion, some fans focused on Carrey’s altered appearance, sparking speculation online:

  • “Did Jim Carrey get some work done?” questioned one Instagram user.

  • “His face was so expressive, I doubt he can still move it like how he did,” commented a Reddit user.

  • “That's not Jim Carrey, and anyone who says it is either blind or mentally manipulated,” wrote another on X.

Carrey has not confirmed or denied these recent rumors.

A History of Mocking Plastic Surgery Headlines

This isn’t the first time Carrey has joked about cosmetic procedures. In 2003, he arrived at the Teen Choice Awards with his face covered in bandages to parody the media’s speculation. Removing the face covering, he revealed bruises painted on with makeup while accepting the award for Choice Movie Comedy Actor.

“I’m sorry, I’m in the middle of having work done… I need to look younger to continue to appeal to the teen audience,” Carrey said sarcastically, showcasing his signature humor.

Whether or not Carrey has had cosmetic work done this time, fans continue to debate his appearance online — a reminder that the actor’s expressive face and playful personality remain as captivating as ever.
