Lucy Likeh, a 28-year-old nurse, has been reported missing by her family in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.
Lucy, who is employed by a private organization at MKK Plaza in Jabi, Abuja, went to Zuba Park on Friday to send a parcel to a friend in Minna, Niger State, but never returned home.
Her whereabouts remain unknown, and her mobile phone has been switched off.
In a missing person notice shared on social media, her brother-in-law, Shadrach Obi, confirmed that Lucy's friend in Minna received the parcel she sent.
“My wife’s younger sister, who lives with us, is missing. She’s a nurse working with a private organization at MKK Plaza in Jabi," Obi wrote.
"She chatted with my wife on Friday evening, saying she would be going to Zuba Park after work to send a parcel to a friend in Minna. Since then, we have not seen her, and her phone has been switched off."
Obi continued, “It was confirmed that she actually got to Zuba and sent the parcel because the receiver has been contacted by us. We have reported her missing to the police stations in Utako and Zuba. If anyone has any information, please contact me, Obi Shedrach Azuka, at 08035545578, or the nearest police station.”
Lucy was last seen wearing a black tracksuit and a black and white chiffon shirt with a fez cap.
Confirming the incident to The Punch on Wednesday, Obi said he had reported the case to two police stations in the FCT.
“She’s my wife’s younger sister, and she hasn’t been found yet. As I speak to you now, I am on my way to the FCT Police Command. I have already reported the matter to the police station near her workplace and to the Zuba Police Station, where she said she was going on Friday. Unfortunately, those efforts have not yet yielded results, so today I am going to the command to make another report,” Obi told the publication.
