A homeless woman named Marina, aged 60, had a terrifying experience after falling asleep drunk in a sheep pen on a farm in Stavropol Krai, Russia. Discovered in a shocking state by a passerby, Marina awoke to find that rats had eaten both her legs while she slept.
Upon being taken to the hospital by the passerby, it was discovered that gangrene had set in, necessitating the amputation of both her legs. Marina attributed her ordeal to her inebriation, stating, "I got drunk, and the rats ate me."
Currently, Marina is recuperating at a homeless shelter in the city, though local officials are considering shutting it down due to fire safety concerns. The head of the shelter, Olga Shiryaeva, explained that Marina lacks documentation and support from family members.
