The Lagos State Government has declared a traffic diversion affecting the route from Osborne/Dolphin Estate to Sura en route Adeniji Adele Link Bridge, starting tonight.
The closure, scheduled to begin at 12:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 27, and extend until 5:00 a.m. on Monday, July 29, 2024, is part of ongoing road improvement works. Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, confirmed that the diversion is necessary for asphalt pavement of the road.
During this period, motorists traveling from Osborne/Dolphin Estate are advised to reroute via Sura Link Bridge to Adeniji Adele, and then proceed to the 3rd Mainland Bridge to continue their journey.
Motorists coming from the State House at Marina should use Obalende to connect to Simpson Bridge, then head towards Sura to reach Adeniji Adele and link up with the 3rd Mainland Bridge.
Osiyemi assured that Lagos State Traffic Management personnel would be deployed to manage traffic flow and minimize disruptions. He urged motorists to follow the directions of the traffic management team and exercise patience during the roadwork.
The state government has advised commuters to plan their routes accordingly and be mindful of potential delays while the improvements are underway.
