Peter Obi Responds to Kenneth Okonkwo’s Departure from Labour Party and Obidient Movement

Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, has addressed Kenneth Okonkwo’s recent decision to leave the party and the Obidient Movement. Okonkwo, who served as the party’s spokesperson during the campaign, announced his departure on social media, criticizing Obi's handling of internal party issues.

In response to Okonkwo's exit, Obi’s spokesperson, Yunusa Tanko, revealed that Obi expressed his sadness over the development. Obi described Okonkwo as a valued member of the Obidient family, not a mole, despite their differences.

Tanko clarified that Obi views Okonkwo as a "junior brother" who contributed significantly to their campaign efforts. Obi emphasized that the disagreement between them is more about differing approaches rather than personal conflict.
