Popular American singer Enisa has experienced a significant drop in her follower count on the social media platform X, losing over 12,000 followers in less than 24 hours.
This sudden decline follows Enisa's decision to unfollow prominent Nigerian Afrobeat artist Davido. The two artists had previously collaborated in 2021 when Davido featured on the remix of her song "Love Cycle," a move that helped Enisa connect with a broader Nigerian audience.
Despite the boost in her popularity among Nigerian fans, Enisa's recent action of unfollowing Davido has sparked backlash. A check on her X account on Friday revealed that her followers had decreased from 821.9k to 809.3k.
Enisa had also received support from Nigerian social media influencers like Smallie and Dapsy, who played a role in helping her gain traction with Nigerian fans.
