Nigerian comedian Funnybone has expressed skepticism about Apostle Abel Damina, a controversial clergyman known for criticizing traditional Christian practices such as tithing and first fruit offerings.
Apostle Damina has recently been in the spotlight for his outspoken views, arguing that collecting tithes and other conventional Christian practices are fraudulent. While some Nigerians support his stance, others believe his approach is divisive and suggest that he should address his disagreements with other clergymen privately.
In a post on his Instagram page, Funnybone described Damina as a “smart man who understands theology but lacks the spiritual supernatural gift and characteristics of a preacher.” He added that he had known the cleric since his time in Jos, Plateau State, and has always been conflicted by Damina’s interpretation of the Bible.
Funnybone’s remarks reflect a broader debate among Christians about Damina’s unconventional views and his method of challenging mainstream church practices.
