Hillary Clinton Expresses Hope for Kamala Harris to Break 'Highest, Hardest Glass Ceiling'

At the Democratic National Convention early Tuesday morning, Hillary Clinton articulated her hopes that Kamala Harris will become the first female president of the United States, thereby breaking the "highest, hardest glass ceiling" in American politics.

Clinton, who made history in 2016 as the first woman to secure a major party's presidential nomination, praised Harris for her potential to take this historic step further. "When a barrier falls for one of us, it clears the way for all of us," Clinton remarked, echoing sentiments from her previous convention speech.

Despite her groundbreaking candidacy in 2016, Clinton's campaign did not succeed against Donald Trump. However, she expressed optimism about the future, stating, “Together, we’ve put a lot of cracks in the highest, hardest glass ceiling. On the other side of that glass ceiling is Kamala Harris raising her hand and taking the oath of office as our 47th President of the United States.”

Clinton's remarks reflect a hopeful transition in the Democratic Party, signaling a readiness to support Harris as she continues her political career and strives towards the highest office in the nation.
