Kogi State Government Praises Tinubu for Appointing Tosin Ajayi as DSS Director-General

The Kogi State Government has lauded President Bola Tinubu for appointing Mr. Oluwatosin Ajayi as the new Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS). The commendation came in a statement from Kogi’s Information Commissioner, Kingsley Fanwo, on behalf of Governor Usman Ododo, who praised Ajayi’s commitment to hard work, integrity, and competence in security and crime-fighting.

Governor Ododo highlighted Ajayi’s distinguished service as the State Director of DSS in Kogi, where he played a crucial role in curbing criminal activities despite the state’s complex security challenges, including its borders with 10 other states. “Ajayi is an astute crime fighter, intelligence gatherer, and processor who will ensure that Nigeria targets the right areas to enhance security,” Ododo said.

The governor commended President Tinubu for recognizing and rewarding one of the nation's top security minds with this critical appointment. "The president has once again demonstrated his remarkable ability to identify and elevate exceptional talents, entrusting them with the responsibility of enhancing national security,” Ododo stated.

Ajayi's tenure in Kogi was marked by his discreet yet effective approach to crime prevention, which earned him a reputation as a silent achiever whose results speak louder than words. The Kogi Government expressed confidence that Ajayi’s wealth of experience will be instrumental in his new role, leading the DSS to bolster national security and peace.

Governor Ododo congratulated Ajayi on his appointment and wished him success in his new role, expressing optimism that his leadership will contribute significantly to the fight against criminality in Nigeria.
