Controversial rapper 50 Cent has spoken out regarding the sexual assault and sex trafficking allegations surrounding music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs. These allegations come after a second wave of lawsuits were filed against Diddy, including claims that he drugged and raped a 13-year-old girl.
Diddy, who was arrested last month in Manhattan during a sex trafficking investigation, faces accusations of drugging and sexually abusing victims as young as nine years old. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
In an interview with PEOPLE, 50 Cent, born Curtis James Jackson III, addressed the allegations and his previous public jabs at Diddy. He stated, "Look, it seems like I'm doing some extremely outrageous things, but I haven't. It's really me just saying what I've been saying for ten years... Now it's becoming more full-facing in the news."
The two rappers have had a long-standing feud since the 1990s, but 50 Cent clarified that he never considered Diddy a friend. In 2006, 50 Cent released the diss track The Bomb, where he accused Diddy of involvement in the 1997 murder of fellow artist Biggie Smalls. While Diddy has faced numerous rumors linking him to the deaths of both Biggie and Tupac, he has consistently denied any involvement.
In 2018 and 2024, 50 Cent expressed his discomfort with Diddy’s behavior, and now, in light of the recent allegations, he has announced plans to release a docuseries on Netflix exploring the claims of sexual assault against Diddy.
In a statement, 50 Cent said, "This is a story with significant human impact. It is a complex narrative spanning decades, not just the headlines or clips seen so far. We remain committed to giving a voice to the voiceless and presenting authentic and nuanced perspectives."
The docuseries, which will be executive produced by 50 Cent's G-Unit Film & Television, aims to delve deeper into the allegations against Diddy, who is facing claims of sexual abuse dating back to the 1990s. These include the drugging of a 13-year-old girl in 2000 and the alleged rape of a man in 2022. Despite the disturbing nature of the accusations, 50 Cent stressed that Diddy's story should not define hip-hop culture, saying, "We aim to ensure that individual actions do not overshadow the culture’s broader contributions."
