Social critic Martins Otse, popularly known as Very Dark Man (VDM), has claimed that Nigerian socialite Bobrisky was arrested at the Seme Border on the morning of October 21 while attempting to flee to Benin Republic.
In a video shared on Instagram, VDM revealed that he received information from a source who said Bobrisky arrived at the border earlier in the day. According to the claim, Bobrisky allegedly asked someone to help sign his passport while he waited inside the car that brought him to the border. It was at this point, VDM says, that Bobrisky was arrested by officers from the Nigeria Immigration Service and is currently being held in custody.
VDM further speculated that Bobrisky was attempting to flee Nigeria to avoid appearing before the House of Representatives panel investigating serious allegations against him. These allegations include claims that Bobrisky paid the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) N15 million to have money laundering charges dropped. Additionally, it is alleged that a powerful figure, described as his godfather, arranged for him to serve a reduced six-month jail term in a private apartment.
VDM's post read: “Bobrisky has been arr€sted this morning at the Seme border while trying to enter Benin Republic to escape the current investigation by the House of Reps. He is allegedly being held by the Nigeria Immigration... MAKE WE WAIT FOR BOB TO DEBUNK 💀 Cho Cho Cho.”
Bobrisky has yet to respond publicly to the allegations or confirm the incident. Fans and followers are now waiting to hear his side of the story.
