Music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs, currently detained at Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center, faces a multitude of serious allegations, including sex trafficking and racketeering. Prosecutors claim that Diddy organized exclusive parties, dubbed “freak-offs,” where women were allegedly coerced or blackmailed into participating in explicit acts, with some reportedly transported across state lines.
According to reports, participants at these parties were subjected to strict appearance requirements: they could not weigh over 140 pounds unless exceptionally tall, and they had to avoid visible tattoos, piercings, cellulite, short hair, pants, or flat shoes. The women were directed to wear short party dresses and high heels, with no exceptions.
Attorney Tony Buzbee, representing over 120 alleged victims, including some who were minors at the time, claims that many women were forced into sexual acts at these gatherings. A former event organizer alleged that Diddy’s team operated under a "don’t ask, don’t tell" policy concerning participants’ ages, which he assumed was related to drinking laws. He further claimed he was unaware that some women were expected to engage in sexual activities.
One former dancer shared that she was offered $1,000 to join Diddy at his home after performing at the 2005 MTV VMAs, though she declined the offer. She alleges that other women who accepted these offers would remain silent about what transpired afterward. Other events reportedly coincided with major entertainment industry nights, including the VMAs and the 2005 Super Bowl.
Diddy, who was denied bail following his arrest on September 16, maintains his innocence. Facing charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation for illegal acts, he could receive a life sentence if convicted. At minimum, a conviction on all charges would mean a 15-year prison term, potentially seeing his release at age 69.
