Sean 'Diddy' Combs Makes Third Attempt for Bail, Asserting Innocence in Sex Trafficking Case

Music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs has launched his third attempt to be released from jail, with his legal team asserting that he is innocent of the charges against him, including racketeering and sex trafficking. According to newly filed court documents, Diddy’s defense argues that all the sexual encounters in question were consensual, and that the music icon poses no threat to the community.

Diddy, who is currently held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, has denied any wrongdoing and pleaded not guilty to the charges. His defense team also addressed the judge’s prior decision to deny bail, which was based on claims that Diddy had attempted to contact witnesses. However, his attorneys maintain that any contact was made with the approval of the witness's lawyer and, in some cases, it was the witnesses themselves who reached out to Diddy.

The appeal also references an unnamed victim, who is believed to be Cassie, given that it mentions a leaked video related to her case. Diddy's legal team claims the case has been "sensationalized" and that their client has taken significant steps to comply with legal requirements, including surrendering his passport, selling his private jet, and offering his $48 million home as security for bail.

Diddy's defense further argues that he is not a flight risk, despite the concerns raised by prosecutors. He has agreed to cease any further contact with witnesses and to undergo weekly drug testing if released on bail.

Attorney Tony Buzbee, who represents 120 individuals accusing Diddy of sexual misconduct, expects numerous lawsuits to be filed soon, particularly in New York and Los Angeles. As Diddy awaits his appeal hearing, the U.S. Attorney’s Office will have time to respond, though a court date is unlikely to be set this week.

The 54-year-old music mogul was indicted last month on multiple charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering, as part of an ongoing investigation.
