VIDEO: Biden Criticizes Elon Musk Over Allegations of Hypocrisy on Immigration

President Joe Biden recently criticized Tesla CEO Elon Musk, accusing him of hypocrisy regarding immigration after a report suggested Musk may have once worked illegally in the United States. Biden highlighted this issue while campaigning at a union hall in Pittsburgh, stating, “The wealthiest man in the world became an illegal worker here. No, I’m serious. He was supposed to be in school when he came on a student visa. He wasn’t in school. He was violating the law. And he’s talking about all these illegals coming our way?”

The Washington Post report, based on company documents, former business associates, and court filings, claims Musk arrived in Palo Alto, California, in 1995 on a student visa intending to attend Stanford University but never enrolled. Instead, he reportedly began working on his first startup, Zip2. Musk has denied these claims, responding on social media platform X, “I was in fact allowed to work in the US,” and adding, “The Biden puppet is lying.”

The report also suggested that investors in Zip2, Musk’s company at the time, were concerned he could be deported and gave him a deadline to secure a work visa. It further cited a 2005 email Musk allegedly sent to Tesla co-founders, acknowledging his lack of legal work authorization when he began Zip2, a statement reportedly submitted in a past California defamation case.

Musk, now the world’s richest man, is known for his political influence and financial support of Republican candidates, including a $70 million pledge to help GOP campaigns this season.
