A Houston woman, Hanna Alolaimi, is facing serious legal consequences after allegedly conspiring with her husband to kill the man with whom she was having an affair. The incident unfolded at a Chick-fil-A location on Westheimer around 9 p.m. on Saturday, October 19.
Alolaimi and her husband, Omar Bishtawi, appeared before a judge on Monday, October 21, where they were both charged with aggravated kidnapping and aggravated assault. Court documents reveal that Alolaimi was engaged in an affair with a man who is also married.
The magistrate noted the complexities of the situation, stating, "It is alleged that you were both married to other people, and when the complaining witness found out about the relationship, he broke it off." Rather than accepting the end of the relationship, Alolaimi allegedly plotted to kill the man she was seeing.
According to court records, Alolaimi enlisted her husband to hide in the backseat of her car during a staged meeting with the victim, who was working as a DoorDash delivery driver at the time. She reportedly gestured for the victim to get into her vehicle, unaware that Bishtawi was lying in wait.
The couple had frequently met at a location near a Target store, close to their residences. On the night of the incident, Alolaimi allegedly chose the Chick-fil-A to lure the victim back to their usual spot.
When the victim expressed that he could not leave due to a pending delivery, Alolaimi reportedly attempted to drive off with him. At that moment, Bishtawi emerged from his hiding spot, placing the victim in a chokehold while brandishing a firearm.
The situation escalated when the victim attempted to escape, leading Bishtawi to fire at him, hitting him once in the leg and once in the foot. The magistrate warned that such injuries could have been life-threatening due to the risk of severe bleeding.
After the incident, the couple fled the scene but later contacted the police to surrender. They provided conflicting accounts to officers during questioning. As a result, they have been charged with aggravated assault and aggravated kidnapping.
