Alex Iwobi Aims to Inspire Youth Through Football and Music

Nigerian international footballer Alex Iwobi is expanding his impact beyond the pitch, aiming to inspire young people through both football and music. Recently, Iwobi released his second single, “What’s Luv?” featuring his close friend SPKS and up-and-coming artist MBrown. This follows his debut single, “Don’t Shoot,” which he released in June.

The 28-year-old shared that his experiences growing up in a challenging area in London fueled his drive to be a positive influence. "Growing up in a part of London that can be tough for many, I know how hard it can be, and I’m grateful to have a platform to make a difference," Iwobi told BBC Sport.

Through his music, Iwobi wants to show young people they’re not limited to one path, encouraging them to pursue their dreams and channel their energy into constructive outlets. “I hope my music is another way to show young people they don’t have to fit into just one box,” he said. “I want them to feel encouraged to reach for their dreams and stay focused on positive goals.”
