America Ferrera Reportedly Moving to the UK for Children’s Opportunities After Trump’s Election Win

American actress and director America Ferrera is reportedly planning to leave the United States and relocate to the United Kingdom with her family following Donald Trump's election victory over Kamala Harris. The Ugly Betty star, 40, is said to be making the move with her husband, Ryan Piers Williams, their son Sebastian, six, and daughter Lucia, four, in search of what she feels will be "the best opportunities" for her children.

According to sources, Ferrera was deeply upset by Trump's re-election and Kamala Harris's loss, feeling disheartened by the outcome. An insider told DailyMail.com: "America is sick that Donald Trump is President again. She is devastated that Kamala lost. She thought the country she lived in was better than that."

However, Ferrera does not plan to leave Hollywood entirely, with sources confirming that she will maintain a professional presence in the U.S. “She will continue working in the U.S. and will advocate for Latinas and women, but she wants to prioritize her family and children’s education by relocating,” the insider said. Ferrera sees the move as a step to provide her children with greater educational opportunities.

Reports from Hello! magazine suggest that Ferrera has been exploring schools in Southwest London. According to a source, she was seen visiting a private school in Barnes, a neighborhood known for its schools frequented by celebrity families, where she appeared pleased with the environment.

While Ferrera remains committed to her causes in the U.S., she reportedly views the move as a way to prioritize her children’s future while balancing her professional responsibilities.
