Hip-hop mogul Diddy has lowered the asking price for his Beverly Hills mansion, which was raided by Homeland Security in March as part of a suspected sex trafficking investigation. The rapper, whose real name is Sean Combs, initially listed the home for $70 million in July but has now reduced the price to $61 million, according to Mail Online.
The 54-year-old music icon purchased the property for $40 million in 2014. The estate features 13,000 square feet of living space on 1.3 acres of land. Despite the federal raid, sources say Diddy's decision to sell has nothing to do with any investigations. He had reportedly planned to sell the home as his daughters moved out, and he now spends most of his time in Miami.
The luxurious mansion includes a grand cobblestone driveway, a formal dining room, a gourmet kitchen, a wine cellar, a gym, a 35-seat theater, and a resort-like swimming pool with a waterfall. Other notable features include a two-story guest house and a basketball court.
In addition to selling the home, Diddy is facing lawsuits alleging sexual misconduct and abuse. The mansion will officially be listed on the real estate market’s Multiple Listing Service on Monday.
