Body of Missing Teen Giovanni Pelletier Found After Week-Long Search in Florida

Authorities have confirmed the tragic discovery of 18-year-old Giovanni Pelletier’s body following a week-long search in Florida. Giovanni vanished on August 1 while vacationing with his mother, Bridgette Pelletier, her fiancé, and his four siblings. His disappearance began after Bridgette awoke to alarming text messages from him reading, “Mom help.”

Multiple agencies, including the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office, K9 units, aviation teams, and drones, joined the desperate hunt. Despite these efforts, Bridgette shared the devastating news that her son had been found deceased, calling it “every parent’s worst nightmare.”

A GoFundMe originally launched to aid search efforts has surpassed its $15,000 goal, raising over $23,000. Donations will now go toward funeral, medical, and legal expenses as the family continues to navigate the active investigation into Giovanni’s death.
