He Secretly Married 3 Women — The Court Finally Decided His Fate

In a shocking case of romantic deception, 50-year-old Henry Betsey Jr. from Florida managed to secretly marry three different women he met on dating apps — all while they remained unaware of each other.

Betsey first tied the knot with Tonya in 2020, then married Brandy in early 2022, and later Michele in November of the same year, just three weeks after meeting her. Each marriage occurred in a different county, which helped Betsey evade detection for months.

His web of lies unraveled when Tonya searched court records and discovered his other marriages. She contacted Michele, who later involved law enforcement. Betsey was arrested for felony bigamy and pled “no contest.”

Though he faced up to five years in prison, a judge sentenced him to two years' probation, 100 hours of community service, a mental health evaluation, and banned him from using dating apps or social media.

The women suspect Betsey married them for financial gain and criticized Florida’s lack of inter-county communication that allowed him to remarry undetected.

Despite Betsey’s courtroom apology, his victims remain unconvinced of his remorse, with some having obtained protective orders due to alleged abuse.
